I’ve had this one sitting around gathering dust since May. I originally processed it in color and something just wasn’t … right. I’ve been looking at it every day since with no change … it just wasn’t hitting me, you know? Yesterday I finally pulled out the RAW file, started over and came up with this.

I think what was happening was struggling wiht the white balance. I just couldn’t get the colors right. For whatever reason the petals didn’t look real; either more blue or more purple than violet. I’m glad I re-visited this one, sure.
