Greetings~

Short and sweet
And we’ve come to the end of it
Within my hand I hold
The star-dust and vaporous light
You are my companion
In an old, softly lit chamber

I just noticed that the last two photos I’ve posted were taken with the cheapest, crappiest lens I own; the Quantaray 70-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Tele-Macro. This lens cost me $129.99 … new! It was the first lens I bought when I first started getting into photography and ya know, while I’d never trade my Canon EF 70-200m f/2.8 L IS, this cheapo really does work surprisingly well in certain situations, ie: macro and portraiture work. It’s not tack sharp, to be sure, but when I want to go for a soft focus look, nine times out of ten I’ll grab the Quantaray.
