The ‘Carvers ended last weekend with a positively killer show at Jameson’s, sure. The vibe was right on; the crowd was warm and enthusiastic; the Jameson’s and Guinness was flowing! I can’t tell you what a fabulous time I had traveling the Midwest last weekend with these fine folks. Believe me when I tell you that, you just haven’t lived until you’ve spent a weekend in a van with this bunch … luckily, my wife was there to protect me!

My warmest thanks to Tyler and the stellar crew at Malarkey’s the previous night; Buck and the superb staff at Jameson’s and, of course, the lovely and talented Sandcarvers. It was a trip for the memory books, indeed!

A quick reminder, too, that the band is putting the finishing touches on their upcoming album, “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” and will be having their CD release party on March 13th at Shank Hall in Milwaukee, WI. It promises to be a grand evening, indeed, so why not mark the date on your calendars right now, eh?

NEW GALLERIES: Iowa IrishFest 2008 – Waterloo, IA

What a wonderful time it was at the Iowa Irish Fest. All of the musicians were so accommodating and the staff … superb! I just can’t say enough about what a great job the fest folks did. They treated everyone … bands, vendors, patrons and one lowly little photographer from PaddyRock Radio like Kings and Queens. Truly an example of how a fest can be run.

My thanks to Buck, Crista and each and every member of the fest staff … you’re all the best; the Jameson’s Public House; To all the performers: The Sandcarvers; Gaelic Storm; Chulrua; The Cottars; Cherish the Ladies; The Young Dubliners; The Trinity Irish Dancers; Black ’47; Switchback; The Killdares. You all rock, off stage as well as on.
