Greetings~

Sitting still for a portrait was no problem for this fella, let me tell ya. If you think about it though, being at a zoo, what else does he have to do? You can see the sadness in his face. This photo really illustrates the love/hate relationship I have for the institution of zoo’s. Take an animal who’s every instinct tells him he should have vast square miles of land to roam free and put him in a “display” consisting of square feet … all for our enjoyment. And if he messes up and mauls a human, he’s the one we’ll put down.

Sigh …
