Greetings~
High-born race
Which keeps
The ancient songs
Let me be sad
In the dark and peace of my final bed
No prey am I of poor thoughts
This is the song of youth
An very ugly situation this past Monday put us out of commission — computer, camera, internet-wise — most of the week, but we’ve got the house back in some semblance of order; I’ve been able — a little — to wrap my head around what happened and get myself in a somewhat better place, so “The Way I See It” is back in the saddle. No need to go into all the gory details…suffice to say that everyone is fine. Yes, I’m being rather vague and I apologize for that, but that’s where we’re at right now. If you read between the lines, you can probably pick up on a general idea of what happened.
Let me just say one thing to the photographers out there: Always create multiple backups of your files! This situation could’ve been much worse for me, but thanks to many layers of redundant backup, I have my photos!
Today’s scene was captured at the mouth of the Pike River in Kenosha, WI, just before it empties into Lake Michigan. This is fast becoming my new location of choice for around town, so I expect I’ll have many new captures from this location in the future.
