This is a shot I snapped off as I was traveling down one of those glass-enclosed elevators. I think I was about six stories over Evanston, IL when I fired this one off, looking west at sunrise (yes, the sun was behind me) at a shutter speed of 1 second to capture the sense of movement.

Me being me, I like the black and white version of the capture much better. Either way, I really have to find a more picturesque location for these kinda shots…this is kinda boring. The problem is that baring a drive of an hour or so, I’m going to get a lot of city lights spilling into the shot. Chicago to the south; Milwaukee to the north; Rockford and Madison to the west…not exactly ideal.
I was able to get some shots up at the Racine Zoo yesterday, so I’ll be sharing a few of the better ones with you soon.
