I was quite surprised that the zoo had these Wallaby’s out in an enclosure that was open to the public. As a matter of fact, the one pictured above came right up to me and was smelling me as soon as I walked in. Not knowing their temperament I didn’t attempt to either pet him or get a close up shot. To be honest, they seemed very tame (or dumb as a box of rocks), but I still didn’t want to chance it.
I waited until he was off the path and back to doing Wallaby type things before I started snapping. As you can see, he still seemed very curious about me, even while munching on his leaves.

We had our first snowfall here in Wisconsin last night. No accumulation or anything, at least here in Kenosha, but it was definitely white. I do hate the cold, but I absolutely love this time of year for photography. I’ll take late Autumn and Winter over summer shooting any day.
