Greetings~
We’re back at the Conservatory today for this shot … the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago, that is, which is neighbors with the Lincoln Park Zoo, for those who didn’t know. I had a beautiful day to hang out at both places a couple of weeks ago and, with “The Beast” (70-200mm; f/2.8 IS Canon L Series glass) in tow, I took full advantage of a day to myself. I have a lot of shots from this day to share in the days ahead … many of them in color, even!
Here we have a little hand-held, bracketed, three image HDR waterfall action. It’s amazing what you can do with a good image stabilized lens. Don’t tell me equipment doesn’t matter in photography! In “normal” circumstances I’d agree, but in this situation (very low light) nothing short of using a tripod (which wasn’t feasible given the confined and populated location) would’ve brought this one home. The right equipment, not the photographer, made this one possible … and thus ends my small, inconsequential rant for today.
